The National Art Honor Society is an honor club for those who have taken Art classes who would like a more in-depth look at art and those who make it. Throughout the year we will have trips, workshops and also go to competitions and shows with our own work. We plan on doing two campus renewal projects this year and will culminate the year with the Wayne Art Show and Chalk Festival in April.
Meetings are the last Wednesday of each month.
Mission Statement
To inspire and recognize students who have shown outstanding ability in art and increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum and in the community.
Membership
Membership in this chapter shall be based upon art scholarship, service and character. Candidates shall be selected by recommendation from the art faculty of this school and shall have a minimum art scholarship average of B.
Fundraisers
Annual fundraisers are the Valentine’s Day rose sales and the Chalk Festival. These raise money for the Wayne Art Show prizes and specialty supplies for the art students.
